Hall Happenings – Jan 2026

Happy New Year – we look forward to welcoming our regular Hirers with all of their various activities that cater to a very wide range of interests with something that would suit everyone in our Community. We extend a warm welcome to the newest member of our “OSH Family” – KCJ Education (an organisation that provides after school child care who will be joining us at the beginning of the school year).

Thank you for your positive feedback regarding our freshly painted Halls with our new Logo. It does indeed look very refreshed and inviting.

The “new” look Settlers Hall

This will be another busy year for our Committee with plans to complete landscaping, exterior art work and main Lobby refurbishment while continuously looking for ways to improve in terms of general building maintenance. With this in mind, we would appreciate gaining some new “OSH Friends”. Being a “Friend” is a new form of membership of the Omokoroa Settlers’ Hall Society that owns, manages and maintains the Hall. Friends may have an interest in the history of Ōmokoroa – for example: the Small Hall will be celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2029 and the Large Hall was 50 years old this past August. Our Friends support the Hall as a vital part of the Ōmokoroa Community hosting a diverse range of Community Groups.

A Friend’s only commitment is to sign a Consent Form on becoming a Friend. There is no subscription. Friends will receive a monthly newsletter to keep them up to date with: events/ happenings at the Hall and will be invited to the AGM and other functions put on by the Society. Friends may, if they wish, offer to help with any special projects or sub-committee work but there is no obligation to do so.

After all – why not? You are already a part of the Omokoroa Community you care about – so take that step further and try something new as well as make new friends along the way! If you are interested in being an OSH Friend or Committee Member please:
