Hall Happenings – July 2026

Building Work Update

Our new fence has now been painted. Sincere thanks to our Building Officer, ably assisted by some of our Committee Members and OSH “Friends” – well done team!

Jason Moller (our fence contractor) has boarded in the area under the deck and our deck railings have been reinforced with wedges as an extra safety measure.
Having had such a busy time with our various renovation projects not to mention the hard time we all experienced while work on our new driveway was underway, we are going to take a bit of a breather prior to finishing the final parts our foyer refurbishment. This will involve the installation of an historic photo montage. The montage has been made possible by our Omokoroa History Group.

New Website

Our revamped website, developed by Quadramedia is now live – please have a look and we would value your feedback. The OSH Committee is delighted with our new website.

Volunteer Week

On June 16, four of our Committee Members attended the Volunteer Week Morning Tea Event. We were thrilled that Trish Clokie was a nominee for the Star Volunteer Award. Along with a round of applause, Trish has a certificate of appreciation for all the hard work and efforts she has put in over the past few years – great job Trish! . The annual Volunteer Week is dedicated to recognising community heroes, celebrating the diversity of volunteer roles as well as encouraging new people to step forward.

With this in mind, even though we are taking a bit of a breather, we still need your help. If you are interested in being an OSH “Friend” or Committee Member please:
