The Ōmokoroa Settlers Hall is a much-loved community space, and these terms and conditions help keep it running smoothly and fairly for everyone who hires it.
Summary
Below is a summary of the Terms & Conditions, it’s also important that you download and read the full document, so you understand everything that’s required of you as a hirer.
- Capacity: Large Hall up to 180, Small Hall up to 65
- Cancellation: 14 days’ notice required, or you’ll be charged the full hire fee
- Payment: Functions and events paid in advance, by internet banking
- Alcohol: Fine to serve free to invited guests; a Special Licence (applied for at least 20 working days ahead) is needed if you sell alcohol, charge entry, or take a koha
- Noise: Music until midnight at a considerate volume, there are houses nearby
- Cleaning: Leave the hall “as found” and finished by 8am the next day, or cleaning costs apply; bring your own tea towels and linen
- Damage: Hirer covers the full cost of any breakages
- Guests: Invitation only, you’re responsible for security; avoid public Facebook invites
- Good to know: Lock Box access, no smoking within 10m, under-14s supervised, 5km/h in the car park
