Hall Happenings – Mar 2026

The OSH Committee have recently completed the installation of 3 new floor to ceiling cupboards (with thanks to our contractor Face Lift) in our main entrance area along with a lovely Rimu shelving unit donated to us by the Menz Shed. The new cupboards are the start of our entrance Lobby upgrade project.

Another major activity now has Quadramedia (a local company) fully in charge of the OSH Website which has been in need of an update, overhaul and general clean up. This will provide a much more user-friendly experience and up to date information for all.

Progress has been made on the widening of the OSH driveway in/out from Omokoroa Road. We look forward to this project finally being completed after Easter along with new footpaths. Our sincere thanks to all of the OSH Hirers and Hall Users who have endured mud, rain and a bit of a walk to get into the Halls for their various Group Activities. The driveway works haves been a test for all of us but we overcame all the challenges and have a much-improved driveway.

All of the outdoor signs placed along the grass verge have had to be removed as this area had to be dug away to have enough room for our widened driveway along with new sidewalks. The OSH Committee is planning to have ONE large sign with our various activities listed – if you wish to be included on this sign, please email: settlers.hall@gmail.com

OSH Centenary

Thank you for your help in sourcing photos that help to tell the story of the Halls depicting events, functions, activities, meetings and people at the Halls over the decades. The new photo montage for our entrance Lobby should be in place by the end of June.
Our Centenary activities also include landscaping, fencing and new artworks.
With all that we have going on, we’d appreciate more hands to help us along the way. You can help by becoming an OSH “Friend” – please contact Cheryl Wright on 0272 495 0868 or email settlers.hall@gmail.com for further information.
If you can help, with any of our Centenary activities, the OSH Committee would love to hear from you. Please contact Cory on 0210 2490 430 or email settlers.hall@gmail.com
