My journey with Pilates started over 20 years ago in Brazil when I became involved in the principles of Joseph Pilates after gaining my degree. I achieved my first Pilates Certification in 2012; following this up in 2013 with a Pre and Post Natal Pilates Certificate and in 2019, advanced my qualifications further with Pilates Rehabilitation – an area that I’m especially passionate about.
I met my Kiwi husband in Australia and we moved back to Omokoroa in 2016 as he’d grown up in the area.

Clau Pilates is a welcoming space (for women and men) to move with purpose, build strength and develop mindful movement. It consists of low impact movements using your own body weight using basic Pilates equipment such as resistance bands, magic circles, dumbbells, sticks, foam rollers and massage balls to improve strength, flexibility and body balance.
My main focus is helping people to develop awareness of their bodies and to grow in strength and confidence. I believe that the positioning of each movement is very important, so I spend time ensuring that each person works within their abilities.
