Ōmokoroa Market

This monthly Community Market takes place on the last Saturday of each month from 9.00 AM until 12 NOON at the Omokoroa Settlers Hall (except in December, when the Market happens on the weekend prior to Christmas – just in time to get those unique gifts in time!).

Since the Market was initiated by Deb Bowden in April 2021, it has gone from strength to strength – there are at least 35+ stalls every month (with over 70 last November 2021). This certainly shows how very resilient and supportive of local endeavours the Omokoroa Community is as the Market has come through the restrictions we have all had to deal with over the “COVID” years of 2021 and 2022. The Market is now firmly established as being a highly anticipated monthly event – more and more people are attending along with their families, neighbours and friends.

The Market is also the ideal place to enjoy a catch up while sampling the delicious treats on offer as the Market has an in-house café offering hot drinks along with home baked goodies, plus the Omokoroa Lions Club does fundraising with their sausage sizzle.

Here’s a sampling of the eclectic range of goods the Market has to offer:

  • preloved as well as new clothing (for men, women and children)
  • stunning jewellery pieces created by our talented local designers, also imported and estate jewellery
  • photography art
  • upcycled cutlery as well as furniture
