This year seems to be rushing by very quickly – it’s been a busy time for all of us. After weeks of planning, and with the much-needed storage cupboards installed, the next stage of our foyer upgrade is about to get underway. Over the next few weeks there may be some interruption and inconvenience when entering and existing the main hall; please bear with us while this work is carried out. Our awesome trades people always do their best to keep noise and mess to a minimum as well as provide a safe environment for themselves and those of you needing to access this area. We look forward to hearing your feedback when it’s all finished– it’s going to look really good!

You may have also noticed the old metal hand rail at our front entrance has been replaced by a new wooden rail which not only looks so much better but is much safer as well.
Please extend a warm OSH welcome to the latest addition to our “family” –a harmonic resonance activity the Small Hall on May 24 starting at 2.30 PM. This session offers meditative music for total peace and should discharge all negative emotions as well as thoughts that are wearing us down. Contact Sonya via her website: harmonicresonance.co.nz
The Omokoroa Indoor Bowls Club will be holding coaching sessions on a Tuesday afternoon, for our local juniors, some of whom will be competing in the AIMS Games in September. Indoor Bowls is a growing sport in our area. If you (or one of your children) are interested in “having a go” at Indoor Bowls, please contact Aileen on: 027 399 5363.
Pilates classes will be starting at Mondays and Wednesdays at 8.30 AM from May 11. These classes have always been a popular way for our locals to get stretched, toned as well as exercising every muscle in our bodies. Contact Claudia on: 021 192 7706.
The Omokoroa Market will be holding a “Craft De-stash” as a part of their regular monthly market on June 27. If you’d like to find out more details, contact Raewyn on: 027 276 6498.
OSH Driveway
Finally – we can now enter and exit easily. The past couple of months were a challenge with the weather hampering progress. Hopefully tar sealing can be done soon to smooth out the lumps and bumps along with the rest of the works along Omokoroa Road.
OSH Website
Work on this has been progressing well considering every document we have ever produced over the past few years has needed to be amended due to the changes we have had with our new logo as well as storage, installation of lock boxes, new locations for items, etc. We would really be very appreciative if you would please get any additions or amendments to your existing Activity page(s) to us ASAP – we are looking to go “live” with our new Website by the end of May. If you have any questions or require further information, please contact us on: settlers.hall@gmail.com
OSH Centenary
